Driesh

Driesh is a mountain summit in Angus, Scotland, rising to 947 meters and surrounded by heathland. A trig point and stone circle mark the top, with views extending across nearby peaks including Mayar and Craig Mellon.

The mountain is linked to ancient pathways, including the historic Kilbo Path that once connected rural communities across the Scottish highlands. These old rights of way remain traced across the slopes today.

The mountain forms part of the Munros, a collection of Scottish peaks above 3000 feet that mountaineers attempt to complete as a traditional challenge.

Several walking routes lead from Glen Doll to the summit, with parking available near Glenprosen Lodge as a convenient starting point. The mountain can be approached from different directions depending on your chosen route.

The remains of Kilbo, an old stone structure, sit along the path to the top and provide shelter for walkers passing through. This abandoned building serves as a notable rest point during the climb.
