Aintree Institute, Music venue in Walton, Liverpool, England.
The Aintree Institute stood on Longmoor Lane, serving as a local entertainment center with a performance hall for concerts and community gatherings.
Founded in the 1890s by Sir William Pickles Hartley, the institute began as a club house for the Aintree Photographic Society before becoming a music venue.
Between January 1961 and January 1962, The Beatles performed 31 shows at this venue during their early career in the Merseybeat music scene.
The building was demolished in 2007, and the site currently functions as a pay-and-display car park while awaiting development approval.
During World War II, the venue implemented entry restrictions due to conflicts between American soldiers, affecting its accessibility to certain groups.
