Walton Hall Park, Public park in Walton, Liverpool, England.
Walton Hall Park is a large green space in the Walton area of Liverpool, featuring two lakes, the larger of which has two small islands. It also has children's play areas, open sports grounds, outdoor fitness equipment, and a network of walking paths.
The park opened in 1934, on the occasion of King George V's visit to Liverpool for the Queensway Tunnel inauguration. Over the following decades it grew into one of the main outdoor spaces in the north of the city.
The park is well loved by families from the Walton area, who use it year-round for picnics, walks, and local events. The two lakes in particular draw people who come to sit by the water and watch the ducks.
The paths throughout the park are wide and paved, making them easy to navigate with a stroller or wheelchair. Weekday mornings tend to be quieter than weekend afternoons, when the play areas and sports grounds fill up.
The park serves as the home ground for Everton F.C.'s women's football team, which competes in the FA Women's Super League, drawing fans from across the city on match days. This makes the park a place where local sport and everyday recreation share the same ground.
