An Socach, Mountain summit in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

An Socach rises to 944 meters with a curved ridge extending three kilometers across the Scottish Highland landscape, featuring steep-sided stony slopes.

The mountain received its classification as both a Munro and Marilyn due to its elevation of 944 meters and prominence of 188 meters.

The mountain name derives from Gaelic language, translating to 'the snout' in English, reflecting the physical shape of its projecting ridge formation.

Hikers access the summit through two primary routes: from Glen Ey to the north or from the Glenshee Ski Centre to the east.

The summit contains a substantial shelter cairn at its western end, rather than at the 938-meter eastern summit marked on certain maps.
