Càrn Aosda, Mountain summit in Aberdeenshire, Scotland

Càrn Aosda reaches a height of 917 meters and features twin summits with small light-colored quartzite rocks marking the true eastern peak.

The mountain's name originates from Scottish Gaelic, translating to 'Aged Hill,' with connections to a former inn at its base.

The mountain forms part of the Cairnwell Munros, a collection of peaks that Scottish mountaineers traditionally climb to complete their Munro list.

Access to Càrn Aosda starts from the Glenshee Ski Centre parking lot, offering a high starting point of 640 meters for the ascent.

The mountain hosts four different ski pistes and contains extensive infrastructure, including snow fences and ski tow supports across its slopes.
