6 Burlington Gardens, Grade II* listed building in Mayfair, England
The Italianate architecture structure at 6 Burlington Gardens stands prominently with decorative detailing and classical forms across its grand facade.
Architect James Pennethorne designed this building between 1866 and 1869, which initially served as the University of London headquarters until 1900.
The building has housed multiple institutions, including the Civil Service Commission, British Museum's Department of Ethnography, and currently the Royal Academy of Arts.
Located near Green Park Underground Station, the building offers access to exhibitions and cultural events throughout the year.
A fire in 2006 caused structural damage during preparations for an exhibition, yet no artworks were lost as the space was temporarily empty.
