Annesley Old Church, Medieval church ruins in Annesley, England

The stone structure measures 35 meters in length and features a roofless west tower, nave, chancel, and a 14th-century Lady Chapel.

Built around 1150, the church served as a religious center until 1874 when a new church was constructed closer to the growing mining community.

The church holds monuments of the Chaworth-Muster family and appears in D.H. Lawrence's novel The White Peacock and Lord Byron's poem The Dream.

Located near Junction 27 of the M1 motorway on Mansfield Road A608, the church and graveyard remain open throughout the year for visitors.

The Lady Chapel contains preserved medieval features including sedilia, piscina, and large east window with reticulated stone tracery patterns.
