Bakelite Museum, Vintage plastics museum in Williton, England.

The Bakelite Museum contains over 2000 exhibits including radios, telephones, kitchenware, and decorative items made from early synthetic materials.

The museum opened in 1995 within a former watermill, dedicated to preserving artifacts made from Bakelite, the first synthetic plastic patented by Leo Baekeland in 1909.

The collection represents mid-20th century manufacturing through domestic items, with exhibits ranging from Victorian plastics to Art Deco designs of the interwar period.

The museum operates from March to October, with Thursday to Sunday openings during term time and daily access during school holidays.

The museum displays unexpected Bakelite objects including spy cameras, perming machines, miniature caravans, and a full-size coffin among its collection.
