Originally established as a pub in 1803, the venue earned its name in the 1930s when musicians performed on an elevated platform attached to the wall.
The venue presents performances across multiple genres including jazz, folk, world music, blues, and contemporary sounds through its regular programming schedule.
Located at 25 Swan Street, the venue operates Tuesday through Sunday, with extended hours until 3 AM on weekends and remains closed on Mondays.
Following a £3.5 million renovation in 2022, the venue expanded to incorporate the adjacent Cocozza Wood Building, increasing its capacity to 500 people.
