Angel Gardens

Angel Gardens is a residential building in Manchester rising to roughly 110 meters across 35 floors. It contains 466 rental apartments connected by atrium bridges, along with commercial spaces and landscaped grounds featuring yorkstone paving and planted areas.

The site once housed Shudehill Mill, one of Manchester's earliest cotton mills. Parts of this history are documented through educational displays and markers integrated into the current development.

The landscaping includes marker stones and inlaid graphics that reference the former cotton mill that once stood here. These details help visitors trace the industrial past of the place through its outdoor design.

The complex has multiple entry points and is easily walkable, with plenty of open space to explore the outdoor areas. Visitors can comfortably move through the grounds and take time to read the informational markers placed throughout.

The building employs a specialized concrete reinforcement technique that significantly reduced the amount of material needed. This engineering approach lowered both the concrete volume used and the overall load placed on the foundation.
