The Georgian building on The Mall East houses collections of local history, archaeology, fine art, military uniforms, and natural history specimens from County Armagh.
Established as Ireland's first county museum, the institution preserves artifacts from the Stone Age through Viking raids to modern times, including the Tynan silver hoard.
The museum exhibits regional crafts, traditional wedding dresses, agricultural tools, and musical instruments that represent daily life in County Armagh through generations.
The museum opens Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, accepting both British pounds and euros for admission.
The collection includes ancient bog butter, preserved food substances discovered in peat bogs dating between 400 BC and the 13th century AD.
