Beechwood Park, Urban park in Newport, Wales
Beechwood Park extends across thirty acres of land, featuring open spaces, woodland areas, terraces, and a narrow ravine with water elements.
Newport Corporation acquired the Beechwood estate in 1900, transforming the private grounds into a public park that served as a military station during World War II.
Local volunteers of the Beechwood Park Group organize community events and work to enhance visitor facilities throughout the recreational grounds.
The park includes two tennis courts, a bowling green, two children's play areas, and a paddling pool that operates during summer months.
Beechwood House, constructed in 1877 with Bath stone, has been converted into an entrepreneurship center following a £4.2 million renovation project.
