Bourne Woods, Coniferous woodland near Farnham, England

The woodland contains ancient Bronze Age tumuli and stretches across the western section of the Greensand Ridge with numerous walking paths through pine forests.

During World War II, the forest housed a searchlight post and military structures used by Canadian soldiers, with remnants still visible today.

The forest gained recognition in the entertainment industry after the filming of Gladiator in 1999, followed by Harry Potter and House of the Dragon.

The forest remains open every day from dawn until dusk, with parking fees ranging from £1 for two hours to £3 for all-day access.

The area transformed from heathland to commercial conifer plantations and now undergoes restoration to its original heath state by bird protection organizations.
