Cardiff Centenary Walk

The Cardiff Centenary Walk is a marked path through the city center that guides you to important locations and landmarks. The route connects various parts of the city together, allowing you to explore different neighborhoods and notable buildings on foot.

The path was created in 2005 to celebrate 100 years since Cardiff became a city, connecting historically important buildings and sites. The chosen stops reflect key moments in how the city changed and grew.

Along the way you can see the Animal Wall, a Victorian structure with detailed stone sculptures of different creatures. This unusual decoration next to the castle often goes unnoticed by visitors, even though it is quite striking.
