Broomhill Park, Public park in Ipswich, England.
Broomhill Park is a semi-natural woodland in Ipswich with mature oak trees and Scots Pines spread across its grounds. The park features natural walking paths that wind through the forested landscape.
The grounds were originally a private hilltop woodland until sold to Ipswich Borough Council in 1925. A road built in 1926 divided the woodland into two separate sections that remain today.
From 1877 to 1883, the grounds served as the first playing field for Ipswich Town Football Club, with players using the nearby Inkerman Pub as their changing facility.
The natural paths are accessible for walking, dog exercise, and observing wildlife throughout the year. The park works well for outdoor activities in any season without formal restrictions.
The construction of the Ipswich ring road in 1926 divided the woodland into two sections, creating distinct areas north and south of Valley Road.
