The 31-acre Chinbrook Meadows features tennis courts, multi-sports areas, an outdoor gym, and cricket pitches spread across meadows and woodlands.
The park opened in 1929 as an 8-acre children's play area and expanded by an additional 23 acres in 1937, replacing the former Chinbrook Farm.
The Desmond Tutu Peace Garden within Chinbrook Meadows stands as a monument to peace and reconciliation in the London Borough of Lewisham.
Multiple entrances on Chinbrook Road, Amblecote Road, Mayeswood Road, and Portland Road provide access to the park throughout day and night.
The River Quaggy flows through the park, restored in 2002 for £1.1 million from concrete culverts to a natural waterway with wooden bridges.
