Castlemead, Office tower in central Bristol, England
Castlemead is an 18-floor office tower in central Bristol, rising above the nearby Castle Park. The building stands out on the city skyline and is visible from many points across the center.
Construction began in 1973 but was delayed by difficult market conditions, and the tower was not completed until 1981. Since then it has remained one of the most visible structures in Bristol's center.
The building houses numerous organizations including IMDb, Lloyds TSB, and City of Bristol College, forming a central hub for business and education.
The tower is in central Bristol and easy to reach on foot from the main train station and bus stops nearby. Those arriving by bicycle will find extensive parking and storage facilities in the building.
Castlemead was the first building in the UK to receive the Platinum Plus 100 CyclingScore accreditation, awarded for outstanding bicycle infrastructure. Below ground, a dedicated space is set aside specifically for bicycles and small personal vehicles.
