The land belonged to Mount Melville Estate until 1947 when Fife County Council purchased it for £25,000 to create a public park.
The park features formal gardens, including a walled garden and rose garden, designed by architect Paul W. Waterhouse in the early 1900s.
Visitors can access the park for free throughout the year, with seasonal attractions such as miniature trains and boat rentals from Easter to October.
Red squirrels, water voles, and grey herons inhabit the park grounds alongside Portuguese laurel, yew, and Wellingtonia trees.
