Coed Coch, Country house in Betws yn Rhos, Wales.

Coed Coch is a country house built around 1804 in Wales, consisting of two different building sections. The structure was constructed from local stone with carefully dressed limestone facades and features an irregular shape with two and three storeys.

The house was built in 1804 for John Lloyd Wynne, a high-ranking official in the local region. Construction followed designs attributed to a prominent architect of that period.

The interior displays decorative elements from the early 1800s, including a circular entrance hall with ornate plasterwork and wood paneling. The rooms reflect the tastes of a wealthy family and show craftsmanship that visitors can still observe today.

The estate is reached via a long paved drive that extends from the main road through the surrounding parkland. Visitors should plan to arrive by car, as the location sits away from the town centre.

Inside sits a remarkable spiral staircase with Doric columns topped by a carefully decorated dome featuring gilded details. This staircase is one of the most carefully crafted features of the house and reveals the high quality of workmanship the owner demanded.
