Christ Church

Christ Church is an Anglican parish church in Colwyn Bay with a cruciform layout built from limestone walls accented by red sandstone details. Geometric patterned windows form the exterior and give the building its characteristic Victorian appearance.

Construction began in 1887 with the nave, followed by the chancel in 1894 and the tower in 1911, creating the building over several decades. This extended timeline reflects the gradual growth of the community in this Welsh coastal town.

The stained glass windows created by Horace Wilkinson bring colored light into the prayer spaces throughout the building. These artistic details shape how visitors experience the interior during their time here.

The church is located in coastal Colwyn Bay and provides seating for around 200 people inside. Visitors should check for viewing times since the building primarily serves the worshipping community.

The church features an offset broach spire on the northwest side of its tower, which is a rare architectural feature. This unusual positioning creates a distinctive silhouette against the Welsh sky.
