Corpus Christi Church, Boscombe, Grade II listed Catholic church in Boscombe, England
The church features a 108-foot bell tower offering views toward the Isle of Wight from its position at St James Square and Christchurch Road.
The Religious of the Cross established the first Catholic place of worship in Boscombe during 1887, starting with a small iron chapel that opened in 1888.
The Jesuits maintained this parish for 125 years until 2022, when the administrative responsibilities transferred to the Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth.
Sunday services are streamed at 6:00 PM and 10:00 AM, allowing parishioners to participate in worship activities regardless of their physical presence.
Baroness Pauline von Hügel initiated the construction of the permanent church building in 1885 to serve the expanding community and nearby Sisters.
