Corpus Christi Priory

Corpus Christi Priory is a red brick and sandstone church on Varley Street featuring Italian Romanesque design throughout its structure. The interior contains barrel-vaulted aisles and multiple chapels arranged along the sides.

Norbertine canons from Belgium arrived in 1889 and undertook construction, with the church opening on November 5, 1907. The building represents the growth of Catholicism in industrial Manchester during the early 1900s.
