Enfield Town Park, Public park in Enfield Town, United Kingdom
Enfield Town Park is a public park in the London Borough of Enfield, in north London, bordered on its southern and western sides by the New River Loop. It has open lawns, tree-lined paths, and outdoor fitness equipment spread across the grounds.
The park opened in 1902 as the last public portion of the old Enfield Old Park, which had been a private hunting ground for centuries. Over time it became the main outdoor recreation space for the people living in the area.
The park is popular with families, dog walkers, and joggers alike, and stays busy throughout the year. On weekends the paths fill with people from the neighborhood using the green space as a meeting point.
The park is easy to reach on foot from Enfield Town centre and is open during daylight hours. The gates close at dusk, so it is worth keeping an eye on the time when visiting in the late afternoon.
In 2023 a heart-shaped ring of trees and metal artwork called the Enfield Living Memorial was added to the park to honor local people who died during the Covid-19 pandemic. The memorial sits within the park grounds and can be visited freely by anyone passing through.
