Esclusham Mountain, Mountain summit in Wrexham County Borough, Wales
The 460-meter high peak features a combination of pastoral lowlands on its eastern slopes and moorland vegetation including heather and bilberry at higher elevations.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, the mountain contained Britain's most productive lead mines, developed using techniques brought from Cornwall under John Taylor's direction.
Several stone cairns on the mountain indicate the presence of Neolithic and Bronze Age farmers who utilized this land for agricultural purposes.
A network of footpaths, including the Offa's Dyke Path, crosses the mountain terrain, with a single-track road connecting Minera through Pool Park to Llangollen.
The mountain houses natural cave systems like Minera Caves and Ogof Llyn Parc, which hold status as Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
