Hartham Park, Manor house in Corsham, Great Britain

Hartham Park is a manor house in Corsham, representing a Georgian building with classic architectural elements. The structure features stone walls, symmetrical windows, and intricate moldings on its principal facade, while the estate now operates as a business center with serviced offices.

James Wyatt designed this residence in 1795 for Lady Anne James, widow of Commodore Sir William James, who relocated from London to Wiltshire. The creation marked a significant moment of Georgian prosperity and architectural ambition in the region.

The property preserves one of only three remaining stockey tennis courts in the United Kingdom, a sport from the British Empire era. Visitors can still see how this unusual court is integrated into the historic grounds.

The grounds now function as a private business center, which means public access may be limited. It is wise to check in advance about operating hours and any requirements for visiting.

The estate contains an ice house from the 1800s that later served as an air raid shelter during World War II. This dual function shows how the structure adapted to the needs of different eras.
