Huron University USA in London, American educational institution in Bloomsbury, United Kingdom.
Huron University USA in London was an American educational institution located in Bloomsbury that offered undergraduate and graduate programs. Class sizes were kept small with no more than 20 students per course, and the university used the Senate House libraries of the University of London.
The institution was founded in 1989 as a branch of Huron University from South Dakota and gained independence in the 1990s. It merged with Hult International Business School in 2007.
The university brought American teaching methods into a British academic setting and attracted students from around the world. Classrooms followed North American traditions while students benefited from being part of London's international study community.
Students had access to University of London facilities, particularly the Senate House libraries. Private accommodation was located on Byng Place, roughly five minutes from the campus.
The university held dual accreditation from both the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the British Accreditation Council. This double recognition allowed it to operate by both American and British academic standards.
