Lake Farm Country Park, Public park in Hayes, England

Lake Farm Country Park is a public park covering about 60 acres of green land in south Hayes, surrounded by trees and bordered by the Grand Union Canal. The site offers multiple entrances for walkers and horse riders, along with parking facilities.

The land was part of Botwell Common until 1814, when it was divided into separate parcels and portions were acquired by John Baptist Shackle. This division marked a significant shift in how the land was managed and used.

A skylark sculpture by artist Ben Dearnley stands in the park, created by someone who served as the Official Olympic Artist for the 2012 London Olympics. The artwork reflects the site's importance as a refuge for the birds that live here.

The park has ten pedestrian entrances and two bridleway entrances to suit different types of visitors. Parking is available in an informal arrangement along the drive leading to the main car park.

The park provides crucial habitat for skylarks, a bird species listed under the UK Biodiversity Action Plan because of their declining population. This protected status shows why this place matters for keeping rare birds alive in the area.
