Lady Herbert's Garden, Grade II listed garden in central Coventry, England
Lady Herbert's Garden incorporates sections of medieval city walls, including Swanswell and Cook Street Gates within its landscaped grounds.
The garden construction started in 1930 and completed in 1939, designed by Albert Herbert as a memorial to Florence Herbert, wife of industrialist Alfred Herbert.
The garden includes two blocks of almshouses built in 1935 and 1937, which continue to serve residential purposes under charitable trust management.
The garden remains open to the public under Coventry City Council management, providing green space access in the center of the urban environment.
The east garden opened in 1931, while the west section development extended from 1935 to 1938, creating distinct areas with different design characteristics.
