Lewes Free Presbyterian Church is a Georgian-style building in the Cliffe district with red brick walls and a columned entrance porch. The interior retains its original wooden box-pews and barrel-vaulted ceiling supported by wooden columns throughout the space.
The building was founded in 1805 when a group of worshippers separated from an established chapel over differences in belief. An expansion in 1826 increased the capacity to serve the growing community.
