Longmead Stadium, Football stadium in Tonbridge, England.
Longmead Stadium is a football ground in Tonbridge, England, home to Tonbridge Angels FC, with covered terracing behind each goal and a main seated stand along one side. The ground holds around 3,000 spectators in total, with roughly 720 seats available in the main stand.
The ground was built in the 1980s after the club's original home, the Angel Ground, was taken over and turned into a shopping centre. Moving to Longmead allowed the Tonbridge Angels to stay in the town and carry on playing.
The Jack Maddams Stand is named after a former Tonbridge Angels striker, and its presence shows how closely the club ties itself to local figures. Supporters gathering here often know each other by name, giving the ground a neighbourly feel that larger venues rarely have.
The ground is close to Tonbridge railway station and has free parking next to it, so getting there by train or by car is equally easy. Arriving a little early helps you find your spot and get a feel for the layout before the match starts.
Every year the ground hosts Tonbridge's Guy Fawkes Night fireworks display, drawing in people from across the town who have no particular interest in football. The venue has also previously welcomed large garden shows and leisure exhibitions on its grounds.
