Millennium Point, Convention center and architectural structure in Eastside, Birmingham, England

Millennium Point is a multi-use building with a 354-seat auditorium, flexible event spaces, and multiple areas designed for conferences and educational activities. The venue provides direct access to multi-story parking and technical support for events.

The architectural structure was designed by Grimshaw Architects and completed in September 2001. The official opening took place in July 2002, marking the beginning of its role as an education and event center.

The building houses the Birmingham Science Museum, the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire's School of Acting, and Birmingham City University's Faculty of Computing and Engineering. These institutions make the place a hub for education and scientific engagement in the city.

The venue is best accessed during daytime when events and museum activities take place. Visitors should check ahead for scheduled activities since opening times vary based on programming.

During the 2021 COVID-19 pandemic, the building was quickly transformed into one of the first mass vaccination centers in the United Kingdom. This unexpected use demonstrated the flexibility and importance of the place during times of crisis.
