Museum of Power, Industrial heritage museum in Langford, England

The Museum of Power is housed in a former pumping station and displays machinery and equipment from different eras of power generation. The building itself is a listed monument that preserves the original industrial structure and layout of this working facility.

The pumping station was built in 1924 and operated steam engines until electric pumps took over in 1963. This shift marks the moment when power generation technology changed from mechanical to electrical systems.

The place tells the story of how people harnessed power and built machines to improve their lives. Visitors can see the knowledge and craftsmanship that shaped industrial work across generations.

The site includes the main building plus extensive grounds with additional attractions spread across several acres. Plan to spend a few hours here and wear comfortable shoes, as there is much to explore.

The grounds include a miniature railway and a handmade model village called Astaria. These charming additions offer a different view of human creativity and craftsmanship.
