Rakewood Viaduct, Transport viaduct in Littleborough, England.
The Rakewood Viaduct extends 280 yards across the Rakewood Valley and rises 140 feet above Longden End Brook in Greater Manchester.
Reed & Mallik constructed the viaduct in 1966, and the structure opened to motorway traffic on the M62 in October 1971.
The viaduct forms part of the transportation heritage of Greater Manchester, connecting communities along the M62 motorway between junctions 21 and 22.
Drivers should exercise caution when crossing the viaduct during high winds, as the elevated position exposes vehicles to strong cross winds.
The steel deck construction, completed by Robert Watson Steelwork of Bolton, mirrors its sister structure, the Gathurst Viaduct on the M6 motorway.
