Raven's Ait, River island in Kingston upon Thames, England

Raven's Ait is a two-acre river island in the Thames between Surbiton and Hampton Court Park. The site features several buildings and event spaces, with access provided by passenger ferry service from Queen's Promenade throughout the year.

The island served as headquarters for Kingston Rowing Club from 1858 to 1935, then became a training center for the Sea Cadet Corps. This transition reflects the site's evolving role in Thames-based activities over more than a century.

The Thames-side venue maintains maritime education traditions through partnerships with the Royal Yachting Association and British Canoe Union for water activities.

Passenger ferries from the mainland bring visitors to the island, with service departing from Queen's Promenade. Allow time for the short crossing and check ferry schedules, particularly during winter months or adverse weather.

The Britannia Suite features large bi-folding doors that open to connect indoor and outdoor spaces, offering river views from two different sides. This design makes full use of the island setting by creating seamless transitions between interior rooms and the water.
