Rolvenden Windmill, Post mill in Rolvenden, England
The wooden structure of Rolvenden Windmill rises above the Kent countryside, featuring four common sails and a single-story brick roundhouse at its base.
Built in 1772, this Grade II listed post mill operated until 1885, when two of its sails were removed and its operational capacity diminished.
The mill represents the agricultural heritage of Kent, demonstrating traditional grain grinding methods that supported local food production for generations.
Located on Benenden Road in Rolvenden, the mill exterior can be viewed and photographed from the surrounding public areas throughout the year.
The mill gained national recognition when it appeared in the opening credits of the television series Mr Majeika from 1988 to 1990.
