Hole Park

Hole Park is a historic garden set on a country estate in Rolvenden, featuring distinct zones with both formal and informal planting schemes. The grounds span across landscaped areas where visitors can walk through varied sections, each with its own style and character.

The main house was reconstructed in 1959 when the Barham family significantly reduced its size from its original scale. The grounds have been tended and shaped by the family over successive generations, preserving features that predate the major modifications of the 1830s.

The garden features long borders filled with herbaceous plants alongside an exotic section that reaches its peak display in late summer. These specialized areas create striking color and form combinations at different times of year.
