Ruthin Craft Centre is a museum and civic building housing multiple gallery spaces, six craft workshops, and retail areas beneath distinctive zinc-clad roofs. The building also features education facilities and a restaurant where visitors can take a break.
The current building was completed in 2008 following a major renovation project on a site that previously housed another arts facility. This transformation modernized the space and established it as a contemporary craft venue.
The galleries display rotating exhibitions of contemporary craft works from Wales and beyond. Visitors can watch artists at work in their studios and learn how they create their pieces.
The centre offers workshops for different age groups and skill levels that visitors can explore in advance. Special sessions are available one Sunday each month for people with sensory sensitivities.
The Ruthin Art Trail begins here and leads visitors through the town to hidden artworks at ten locations. This trail tells local stories through figural artworks that visitors might easily miss otherwise.
