St Bertoline's Church, Barthomley, Medieval church in Barthomley, England.
St Bertoline's Church features red sandstone walls, a lead roof, and a tower dating from the late fifteenth century at its western end.
The church walls witnessed a tragic event during the English Civil War in 1643 when twelve Parliamentary supporters lost their lives on Christmas Eve.
The interior contains significant artistic elements including English oil paintings and stained glass windows created by Clayton and Bell craftsmen.
The church maintains eight bells for ceremonies, with the oldest six dating from the 1740s and regular maintenance keeping them in working condition.
An alabaster effigy of Sir Robert de Foulshurst from 1390 rests inside the church, representing medieval craftsmanship in exceptional detail.
