County Hall, Grade II listed administrative building in Matlock Town, England

County Hall stands as a four-story stone structure with eleven bays, sash windows, and a prominent tower added during the 1885 extension.

The building originated in 1867 as Smedley's Hydro, a health facility established by John Smedley, before becoming the headquarters of Derbyshire County Council in 1955.

The entrance hall features a significant stained glass window from 1882 depicting Hygieia, Truth, and Asclepius, representing health and medical themes.

The building maintains its administrative function as the central office for Derbyshire County Council, with access from Wellington Street in Matlock.

The Winter Gardens section, built in 1901, connects to the main building through a two-story bridge spanning over Smedley Street.
