St Cwyllog's Church

St Cwyllog's Church is a medieval church in Llanddyfnan built with rubble stone walls and massive boulder cornerstones that give it a solid, enduring appearance. The building features a slate roof with stone copings and was later modified with a north doorway and east window from the late 15th century.

The church walls date from the early 13th century, marking a period when the area was actively developing its religious infrastructure. Later modifications in the 15th century show how the building continued to serve the community's changing needs over time.

A silver chalice that had long gone missing was returned to the church in 2010 when an antiques dealer discovered its original connection to the building. This unexpected recovery shows how objects tied to a place can travel far and eventually find their way back home.
