St Mark's Church, Worsley, Gothic Revival church in Worsley, England
The stone structure rises 185 feet with a spire that transitions from a square tower through pinnacled flying buttresses to an octagonal peak.
Sir George Gilbert Scott designed the church between 1843 and 1846, commissioned by Lord Francis Egerton using his inheritance from the Duke of Bridgewater.
The interior features twelve European stained glass windows depicting saints, complemented by two additional windows from Edward Burne-Jones studios.
The church holds services at 8 am following the Book of Common Prayer and 11 am Parish Communion with Children's Church during term time.
The church clock strikes thirteen at 1 o'clock, incorporating a mechanism from the Bridgewater estate to prevent workers from returning late from lunch.
