St Mary's Church, Studley Royal, Gothic Revival church in Studley Royal Park, England
St Mary's Church features a four-bay structure with clerestory aisles and a west tower built in Early English architectural style with colored marble elements.
The church construction began in 1871 after Frederick Vyner's death in Greece, funded by unused ransom money collected by Lady Mary Vyner and Lady Ripon.
The interior decorations include Tennessee marble fonts, encaustic floor tiles, stained glass windows, and painted figures representing biblical narratives.
Visitors can explore the church between late March and October, with daily opening hours from 1 PM to 3:30 PM through the National Trust entrance.
The construction expenses increased from initial £15,000 to £50,000 due to the addition of mosaics, marbles, metalwork, and detailed decorative elements.
