The building features Gothic architectural elements, stained glass windows portraying English saints, and a detailed organ crafted by J. W. Walker & Sons Ltd.
The church's foundation stone was placed on July 8, 1887, by Henry Smith Wright MP, followed by its consecration ceremony on June 12, 1888.
St George in the Meadows conducts traditional Anglican services with modern rites, incorporating religious music and ceremonial practices during Sunday Mass.
The church holds regular services at 11:00 AM on Sundays, with additional masses scheduled throughout the week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
The west window displays an artistic representation of St Michael and St George, created by Burlison and Grylls in 1927 and installed in 1938.
