St Laurence's Church, Reading, Norman church in central Reading, England
St Laurence's Church features flint walls with ashlar quoins and a three-stage tower that stands over the Market Place of Reading.
Founded in 1121, the church served as one of three original parish churches for Reading and underwent major reconstructions in 1196 and 1867.
The interior contains a memorial dedicated to John Blagrave, a 16th-century mathematician, and a font from 1522 used for Archbishop Laud's christening.
Services take place at 12:00 PM on first Sundays and at 2:00 PM on subsequent Sundays, with dedicated facilities for children and families.
During World War II, the church sustained damage from a 1943 bombing raid, and some marks from this event remain visible on the structure.
