St Vincents Hall, Gothic Revival mansion in Grantham, England.

St Vincents Hall is a Gothic Revival mansion in Grantham featuring a three-story circular tower as its main architectural focus. The limestone exterior displays lancet windows and quatrefoil tracery that define its 19th-century design.

The house was built in 1868 for industrialist Richard Hornsby during a period of prosperity in Victorian Grantham. It later served as headquarters for 5 Group Bomber Command during World War II from 1937 to 1943.

The building holds memorial plaques dedicated to 5 Group Bomber Command and 617 Squadron, along with displayed RAF items that visitors can see. These pieces tell the story of the house's role during wartime.

The building is a Grade II listed structure open to visitors interested in military and architectural history. It is advisable to check visiting conditions and hours before planning a trip to ensure the site is accessible.

Operation Chastise, the secret mission to breach German dams, was planned within these walls with Air Marshal Harris and Barnes Wallis involved. This landmark military action remains one of the most significant moments in British air force history and originated from this location.
