St Mary's Church, Longfleet, Gothic Revival church in Longfleet, England
St Mary's Church is a Gothic Revival structure in Longfleet designed by architect Edward Blore. The building features a 135-foot spire, pointed arches, and intricate stonework characteristic of the Gothic Revival style.
Construction began in 1830 with funding from Lord de Mauley. A chancel and organ chamber designed by G.E. Street were added in 1863.
The building serves as the largest congregation in the Diocese of Salisbury, with over 700 members participating in regular worship and community activities.
The church sits on Longfleet Road in Poole and welcomes visitors to explore its interior and architecture. The space provides a calm setting for reflection or viewing the details of the building.
In 2018, the church initiated a growth project by sending 20 members to support declining congregations at St Michael's and St Gabriel's churches.
