The Other Palace, Musical theatre in Westminster, England
The Other Palace is a theatre building in Westminster with two performance spaces: a main stage accommodating 312 people and a studio space with 120 seats in central London. The design connects both areas, allowing the venue to host different types of productions simultaneously.
The site was previously home to Westminster Theatre before being rebuilt as St James Theatre in 2012. Andrew Lloyd Webber purchased the venue in 2016 and renamed it to its current name.
The theatre presents new musical works and contemporary productions that draw different kinds of audiences. Visitors can experience experimental staging approaches here that differ from traditional theatre spaces.
The venue is located near Victoria Station and easy to reach by public transport. The box office stays open later on performance nights, giving visitors time to arrange last-minute details.
Inside there is The Other Gin Palace, a bar featuring over 50 different gin varieties created specifically for theatre patrons. This offering makes the experience before or after a show particularly memorable for gin enthusiasts.
