The Hub, Entertainment venue in Verwood, England
The Hub is a multipurpose venue in Verwood housing a 304-seat theater, digital cinema, and sports facilities. The complex integrates a movie screening area with a gym and outdoor playing fields designed to serve different interests in one location.
The venue opened in March 2007 following a major investment by East Dorset District Council to give the community a central meeting place. The project reflected the area's effort to upgrade its recreation and sports infrastructure.
The theater space inside takes its name from Buster Merryfield, a locally recognized performer. Local groups gather here regularly for shows, concerts, and art displays that reflect what people in the area enjoy watching and creating.
The facility is open throughout the day and evening for various activities, with free parking available on-site. Wireless internet access is also provided for visitors who want to stay longer or access additional services.
The digital cinema area features a 7.1 surround sound system that gives film screenings an impressive audio experience. Additionally, professional gym equipment and artificial turf playing fields sit on the same grounds, allowing visitors to pursue completely different activities in one location.
