The Victorian Tudor-style mansion features ornate stone carvings, mullioned windows, and defensive towers spread across multiple wings of the structure.
Built between 1848 and 1853 by architect Samuel Sanders Teulon for the 2nd Earl of Ducie, the mansion served as naval training base HMS Cabbala during World War II.
The 30-acre estate contains an arboretum initiated by the 3rd Earl of Ducie, housing over 300 plant and tree specimens collected throughout the Victorian era.
Located near Junction 14 of the M5 motorway, the hotel provides modern amenities including Wi-Fi 6, the 1853 Restaurant, and specialized beauty treatments at Leaf Spa.
The Great Western Railway named steam locomotive No. 2955 after Tortworth Court, connecting the mansion to British transportation heritage.
