The Grade II listed Trafford Town Hall features symmetric architecture with Doric columns, gritstone dressings, and a prominent clock tower rising in stages.
Construction of Trafford Town Hall began in 1931 with government funding of £88,000, and the building opened in 1933 during Stretford's charter ceremony.
Bronze statues of Electra and Njörðr stand beside the central staircase, reflecting the artistic elements incorporated into municipal architecture.
The town hall accommodates council meetings, administrative offices, and public services in a renovated open-plan environment completed in 2013.
During the 1980s renovations, builders added a nuclear fallout shelter beneath the town hall, which later became a storage space until 2011.
